I love music

What can I say other than I love music and I believe it's one of the best creations ever. I listen to music everyday, always have. Music stimulates me, excites me, entices me, invites me to enjoy every feeling my human body is allowed to feel. Music also opens up gateways for me to enter and play with my thoughts and indulge in my imagination. Music makes me appreciate life in a way that some don't.

I can appreciate, respect and cherish what others may dismiss, such as vulnerability, egoism, arrogance, masculinity, femininity, sorrow, joy, pain, confusion etc..., music is poetry and poetry is life.
Every piece of music you've ever heard is just the soundtrack to everyone's life regardless of any race, color or creed. It's the same messages all around the world just conveyed for everyone to understand in their own language, culture and themes. So this blog is to show appreciation to the beautiful musicians who have consistently, creatively made the soundtracks to my life, songs that inspired me, uplifted me, helped me cry through my sadness and just provided a smooth ride through all of my trials and tribulations.

Poetry, Spoken Word, Hip-Hop; which one?

So many people ask this question, which one? I ask, why do we have to choose? I say, I love them all, and to be honest, I am all. I do all. I started writing poetry at the age of twelve, starting writing rhymes at the age of fourteen and performing them at the age of eighteen. As for spoken word, I began that journey at age fifteen. You see, I’m in a generation of all and I see nothing wrong with that. I believe that they are all great mediums for whatever your gift can be utilized and/or transformed through. I feel that it’s whatever one feels most comfortable doing, which one comes natural or whatever is your preference. I also believe that neither one is better than the other, they are all beautiful, they all evoke different modes, messages, feelings and era of times for a variety of people. And not only that it kind of steams me to know that people want other’s to choose between the three because the truth of the matter is; if you’re gifted enough, talented enough, great enough, yo...

Pamela had a conversation with her late brother Jasdeep Tahim whose request was to help him start a movement through music and art to uplift the consciousness of humanity. Unbeknownst to her, he would take his last breath a few days later, leavin...

Stressing about what ain't....

Hey everyone! How are you? I hope all is well. Well, I just want to share a quick thought with you. You know what I love about life sometimes? Is that sometimes someone can bring something to your attention and make you think it's something to worry about--and of course because you're a smart person, you don't just take their word for it you go and check it out for yourself. Only to find that it was nothing to worry about at all. All this time I was "Stressing about what ain't" and I feel so much better. The moral is, make sure you check things out for yourself, no matter how credible you think your source may be; because you  might find that it wasn't everything it was all hyped up to be. Have a great day! Until...
