Elevate Genius...

Good afternoon my Life at Random Readers:

I would like you to take a moment to read this and share. I am working with Pamela Tahim Thakur and I will perform one spoken word piece. I hope you're able to attend and if not, please donate.

This is a great cause. Elevate Genius is about uplifting the consciousness of humanity through music and art. Also in support in helping with Anti-bullying. If you're like me this is also close to your heart because you care. Please read, share, support, attend and/or donate. Thank you for your time. Until...

"Be the change you wish to see in this world."

That is the reason Sonia Singh and Pamela Tahim Thakur founded Kind-Hearted Compassion in Action Foundation. Pamela had a conversation with her late brother Jasdeep Tahim whose request was to help him start a movement through music and art to uplift the consciousness of humanity. Unbeknownst to her, he would take his last breath a few days later, leaving that mission with them. Since then, without much effort, Sonia and Pamela started meeting people with the same goals and we moved forward with the non-profit.

They met the incredibly talented filmmaker Teplán Lili, musician Trevous Leviticus Millhouse, and human rights activists Steven Sweetleaf, Aj Redkey, and others who they will be recognizing as grant recipients at our event "Elevate Genius" at the historic place called The Yost Theater on December 12, 2015.

Hope you will consider supporting this movement and attending this event, sending us more individuals to consider supporting, or just spreading the word!

We are extremely excited to announce that Power 106 is supporting Elevate Genius!!! Join the movement to spread peace and compassion through music, art, and activism. Tickets can be purchased at www.elevategenius.eventbrite.com or contact us for sponsorship opportunities at http://www.kindheartedcompassion.org/.

Thank you for supporting our cause!

How do you know you have a love for writing?

You know you have a love for writing when every subject you’re passionate about you find yourself jotting, scribbling, tattooing it any chance you get on any thing that will allow your word’s to be legibly seen. When you find yourself participating in the area you constantly indulge in at home. When you allow your creativity to guide you to start trying new genre’s of writing which is something you wouldn’t usually do; but for some reason your passion and desire is drawing you to and you find your pen gliding to begin a new journey of adventures, exploring your writing abilities which will soon lead you to the writing of your choice, your favorite, whether it be essays, comedy, non-fiction, children stories, fiction, screen plays, poetry and so much more. But when you find it, oh, when you find it-what a joy that will be, what an awakening. To enjoy what you love; to find what you enjoy. So, how do you know you have a love for writing? When you pick up a pen or a pencil and truly love...

One of the most realest conversations:

Anyone who knows me, conversed with me or hung out with me, pretty much knows that when it comes to talking out an issue, discussing one's wants and/or needs, communicating on a serious problem that desperately and immediately needs to be fixed; knows that I like honest, direct, graceful, diplomatic and most of all, sincere conversation. I have never been one for hinting, beat around the bush talk, unclear or vague discussion or that sneaky, unexpected, hit below the belt 'cause I'm not woman enough or man enough to say what I want and need to say, indirect comment speak. The only way you can ever get me to hash out anything, is if you come with the REAL. And when I say " REAL ", I don't mean, LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS ATTITUDE, FINGER POPPIN', BULLY TONED, I BETTER DO WHAT YOU SAY TYPE OF TALK . I mean REAL , like you have some since. REAL . Meaning, I've come to speak to you candidly about my thoughts and feelings but I'm also open and willing to hear...

Do you believe in love at first sight?

I have to say for me, I've always believed it, in a fairy tale kind of way. You know, like the way you believe in Santa Claus or the story of Cinderella, etc..., and I have to admit that though I've become older, I gotta' tell you that I, in a small way still believe in those dreamy fairy tales , call me crazy, but I do! I mean even though I learned that my family was the actual (Santa Claus) I still believe, in that story. But with that being said, I always believed that love at first sight indeed happens. I just never believed it could or actually would happen to me, in my life. I encountered this years ago, it was one of the most amazing things that has ever happened to me. I mean, I really felt like I was shot by an arrow of cupid. It happened just as simple as this; he walked in, my head was down, he asked me a question, I looked up to respond and our eyes locked ; I can't even begin to describe the feeling that entered inside of my being, my mind, my entire sou...
