Poetry, Spoken Word, Hip-Hop; which one?

So many people ask this question, which one? I ask, why do we have to choose? I say, I love them all, and to be honest, I am all. I do all. I started writing poetry at the age of twelve, starting writing rhymes at the age of fourteen and performing them at the age of eighteen. As for spoken word, I began that journey at age fifteen. You see, I’m in a generation of all and I see nothing wrong with that. I believe that they are all great mediums for whatever your gift can be utilized and/or transformed through. I feel that it’s whatever one feels most comfortable doing, which one comes natural or whatever is your preference. I also believe that neither one is better than the other, they are all beautiful, they all evoke different modes, messages, feelings and era of times for a variety of people. Stressing about what ain't....

Hey everyone! How are you? I hope all is well. Well, I just want to share a quick thought with you. You know what I love about life sometimes? Is that sometimes someone can bring something to your attention and make you think it's something to worry about--and of course because you're a smart person, you don't just take their word for it you go and check it out for yourself. Only to find that it was nothing to worry about at all. All this time I was "Stressing about what ain't" and I feel so much better. The moral is, make sure you check things out for yourself, no matter how credible you think your source may be; because you  might find that it wasn't everything it was all hyped up to be.
